College football's early season is devoted to the unknown, teams figuring themselves out on the fly while playing unfamiliar foes in a mad scramble for positioning. But right around the start of October, things settle a bit and we enter the grind, the early rounds of conference play. Familiarity and rivalry collide for a different kind of battle, one that will carry us through the rest of the regular season. We invite you to sit back and enjoy the slugfests with us and participate in the FanHouse Week 5 College Football Chat. We'll begin around 3 PM Eastern, but feel free to submit comments and questions in advance. Chat application after the jump.

Georgia was robbed! No way a celebration penalty should have been called on A.J. Green.

Hey, the big southern BCS football 'dogs' like LSU will always win the close games ... in the South where they always play! Get used to it. That's just the way things go... and the hired lackeys (officials) know that. A whistle here, a flag there in close games and, what a surprise, the BIGGER BCS 'dog' wins again. LSU has lived this way for years.
