Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to return to Florida Sunday after suffering a concussion and being knocked out of Saturday's game at Kentucky.
"Tim is doing fine this morning," said head coach Urban Meyer. "His CT scans came back and indicated that Tim suffered a concussion. Our medical and athletic training staff will continue to monitor him to determine how much rest and recovery he needs. We will have additional information and updates this week."
Tebow was hurt on a hard -- but clean hit from Kentucky defensive end Taylor Wyndham, who drilled him on a pass rush that Tebow never saw coming, knocking him to the ground and forcing the back of his head to collide violently with a Florida offensive lineman's knee. He stayed down on the field for a couple minutes, then was seen vomiting as he was carted to the locker room, and was later transported to a Lexington hospital by ambulance. But Chris Low of ESPN is reporting that Tebow was coherent and joking with visitors Sunday morning and Tebow was discharged on Sunday. Meyer stayed in Kentucky overnight to be with Tebow, as did members of the Florida medical staff, but the whole contingent is expected back in Gainesville by the end of the day.

It was not a blind side pass rush...Wyndham rushed from Tebows left and he should of seen him coming....the left guard blew it...and gave him a free shot....which was a good hit...the hit to the knee kind of cuased a sling shot effect into the ground....
I don't really like Tebow but hope he makes full recovery.....

Left side being his blind side since he is a right handed quarterback.

Try again A W. I'll give you a hint, the answer is the opposite of right-handed.

That is how the play was designed you bone head. It is a quick delivery play. The Gators have ran it several times with success this year. It leaves the QB very open to a front side hit. Just so happens this time he hit the back of his head on his own O-linemans knee.

The tight end didn't block when he should have, then the guard completely went right for a block, really dumb move .

Tight End? There was no TE anywhere near to make a block. The OL simply forgot to block a guy, giving him a free shot on Tebow. The guy did nothing special, but danced around like he just saved the SuperBowl. Classless clown.

I agree with the comments made in this article. I was sick when I saw Tebo down, as I would have been with any player. But was sicker with the Kentucy fans and football players for celebrating. The TV
coverage was awful, I wanted to know how Tebo was
not a commercial.

The Ky. fans were not cheering. The stadium was quiet. That is untill Tim rose and walked off the field. The crowd gave him a huge applause, to indicate they were glad he was not seriously injured.

As a Mom, of a college student, I hope they watch him very carefully. I remember the horror stories of some of the celebrities. I pray for his speedy recovery, and hope his Coach puts more emphasis on the health of his star player than the GAME!

You are so right....Coach held his hand all night...sure if he's our big money maker....guess he now has a soft spot, sure the big boys will see that too....maybe Sunday's will not be the best day for Timmmy T in the future??? Boy wonder got his bell rang, long time coming, so guess it all catches up with you at some point...do up it's not serious, he is a fine young man, just that one man show thing gets to me...and the coach is loving it, what a hot dog...

It was claimed that ESPN missed the opportunity of coverage going to commercial during the injury time out. From what I heard of the celebrating KY players, it may have been a good decision to forgo nursing an injury story. It would be bad for football to show players dancing around like they won the Superbowl for injuring a player and they are down by 30 points on top of it.
ESPN saved Kentucky from being exposed on national tv from being Class-less and prevented millions of young players from learning from a bad example of Poor Sportsmanship.

The Kentucky defensive player as well as our fans were not celebrating the fact that the FL player was hurt; they were celebrating a defensive play in which the quarterback was sacked - a play often celebrated and a play where the quarterback often takes times to recover!!!! Quit trying to make a situation something that it wasn't!

Not to defend ESPN--after all they dropped the skating Grand Prix and show absolutely nothing on women's sports except basketball and a little soccer--but I have watched football since Fran Tarkenton was the first quarterback to LOSE four Super Bowls and all networks use an injury time out to show ads. If they had rushed out with the defib and paddles I am sure ESPN would have cut right back, but in general they all do that. I was annoyed too--I wanted to see what was going on--but networks are money driven and the guys covering the game don't make that call, they are just told it is happening.
I am glad Tim is back home and that the Gators have an open week now for all the sick player to rest and heal.

How can you judge someone elses Christianity with a clear conscience??? To call him selfish is beyond belief, when whatever he does is for his Lord, his peers and his teammates. What do you object to the most that is not ashamed of his Lord and Savior and is fully willing to give him all the credit no matter what happens to him. May you someday be blessed with the faith and courage of his convictions that this young man has

All I can say to you KY....Is you are an IDIOT! If you think he is selfish you should ask his players. He is the most sincere TEAM player I have ever witnessed play the game. Yes I am a woman but obviously am more informed than you. You have obviously never watched Tebow play a game in person. He is always the first player to congratulate a job will done!

really.. let see ... If I am the quarter back, then I think I would have the ball everytime the offensive was on the field.. Also, you must not be a christain because your jealous is showing.. Tebow is one of the most unselfish people in this world. If we all had a little of the unselfishness the Tim has, this world would be a much better place. Prayers are with Tebow, and all the other sick and injuried players...
By the way KY was celebrating around Tebows head. Go back and watch it.... you'll see....
No players should celbrate another player's injuries.. KY has no class and no sportsmanship.
Just like Ky had played reviewed to see if Tebow fumbled during the play. no class at all...
