Tim Tebow Injury Update: Condition Improving After Concussion

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to return to Florida Sunday after suffering a concussion and being knocked out of Saturday's game at Kentucky.

"Tim is doing fine this morning," said head coach Urban Meyer. "His CT scans came back and indicated that Tim suffered a concussion. Our medical and athletic training staff will continue to monitor him to determine how much rest and recovery he needs. We will have additional information and updates this week."

Tebow was hurt on a hard -- but clean hit from Kentucky defensive end Taylor Wyndham, who drilled him on a pass rush that Tebow never saw coming, knocking him to the ground and forcing the back of his head to collide violently with a Florida offensive lineman's knee. He stayed down on the field for a couple minutes, then was seen vomiting as he was carted to the locker room, and was later transported to a Lexington hospital by ambulance.

But Chris Low of ESPN is reporting that Tebow was coherent and joking with visitors Sunday morning and Tebow was discharged on Sunday. Meyer stayed in Kentucky overnight to be with Tebow, as did members of the Florida medical staff, but the whole contingent is expected back in Gainesville by the end of the day.
