Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said during Monday's Big 12 teleconference that quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a Grade 2 or 3 sprain in his AC joint.Stoops also said he expects it to be a week or two before the Sooners know Bradford's availability status. Bradford, last year's Heisman Trophy winner, was knocked out of the Sooners' season-opening loss to BYU on Saturday night.
"It's going to be a fairly long process," Stoops said of Bradford's injury. "A lot depends on how he feels, how he heals. It's going to be a while."

I admire Bradford's character and at times I enjoy watch OU football. But, I have no love for Sooner Nation. OU fans got a taste of what they were dishing out in 2007 when McCoy was being pounded behind a new offensive line.
What should not surprise me but still does, is how a lot of the Sooner Nation is still in denial. Oklahoma did not look like a top 15 Team much less #3. I enjoyed watching "Skip Okie Payless" have to eat crow on ESPN Take 2 this morning. To hear Skip last week, OU was the best team in the Nation, with the best QB, best running backs, best front seven defense and new Offensive line. Notice there was no mention of best offensive line. OU fans, at Cowboy Stadium, could you hear the snap crackle,POP your QBs were taking? It's going to be a long season if that line does not improve!
Oh yeah, I am a Texas fan and I know we can not afford to lose Colt McCoy, nor can Florida lose their Superman but for now, it could not have happen too the best fans. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL

How does OU not have a backup QB ready?!? Landry Jones is a redshirt freshman?!!? All these "supposed" great recruiting classes and that's all you got?!?
Oh wait, I forgot....it was more important last year to run up the score and reach the 60 point plateau every game and get Bradford the Heisman.
Land Thieves fans can save it - you missed a field goal, you got a delay of game penalty with a 4th and goal at the one yard line, your defense was horrible (BYU had a 9 minute drive in the 4th qtr...NINE MINUTES), your O-line couldn't protect Bradford AT ALL, and where were Brown & Murray?!?. BYU's starting running back didn't play either - so he could have been a factor too.
Even if Bradford does make it back for the RRS, you can guarantee Texas will be licking their chops - inexperienced O-line and hoping to slap Bradford around some more.
Wish Bradford the best, but this situation couldn't have happened to a better team. Karma is a bit$$!!!!
