Cris Carter went from Ohio State to a long and distinguished career as an NFL wide receiver. In fact, most believe he'll wind up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's too soon to tell if Carter's son Duron will follow exactly in his father's footsteps, but he has the first step taken care of. Duron Carter, a true freshman, is looking to get on the field as Ohio State's fourth receiver this fall, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. For his part, Poppa Cris is trying to avoid taking credit for his son's success, passing it all off to his son's high school, St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Again, fair enough; Aquinas is ranked No. 1 nationally this season by many polls.
Now, guess who coaches Aquinas' receivers?
So yeah, Cris, I'm sure your boy has worked hard and done all the right things, but you probably had just a little bit to do with it, don't you think?
At any rate, the younger Carter has leapfrogged his way over talented but troubled wideout Ray Small and figures to be the backup to starter DeVier Posey this fall. The Buckeyes are rather inexperienced at receiver this season, however, so Duron Carter just might wind up seeing significant playing time. And who knows? Maybe one of these days Poppa Carter will come out and admit that he taught his boy (almost) everything he knows.

YOU MUST HAVE NEVER WATCHED HIM PLAY IN HIGH SCHOOL. HE LOOKED JUST FINE IN HIS FIRST GAME. HE CAUGHT EVERYTHING IN THE 43210 ZIP CODE. OVER THE MIDDLE OR OUT CUTS. I DID NOT SEE ANY RECEIVER ON THE FIELD WITH WINGS SO I GUESS HE CAN'T FLY BUT HE IS QUICK AND AS HIS ROLE INCREASES I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE HIM RUN BACK KICK OFFS AND PUNTS!!!!!!!
