FanHouse gathers around the TV to bring you insights from Bowl Season '08.
What? You want more liveblogging? The Rose Bowl LiveBlog wasn't enough? Well, it wasn't enough for us either. A short break, and we are coming back with the Orange Bowl.
This is the game where FOX kicks off their BCS game coverage. Announcers that have not paid any attention to college football all season opining on what they are seeing. Lots of ridiculously long and numerous commercial breaks that will totally break up the flow of the game. Needless to say, expectations are low for the production.
As for the game itself, it is Virginia Tech and Cincinnati. The champs of the ACC and Big East. The Big East, has won their last three BCS Bowl games. The ACC has lost eight straight in the BCS.
Will there be any changes to the status quo? Join us around 8:30 PM ET for the fun.

I was really disappointed in the fox showing of the half time coverage. there were a lot of high school bands there to preform, and NOT ONE was shown. One school James Monroe High from WV had to raise 87,000.00 to attend this. The county has 14,000 people and this was a lotof money for these kids to raise in a small town. No where on tv could we find the Orange Bowl Parade that was supposed to be broadcast. I live in SC and I think it was really tacky that you have all these kids raise this money and then they get shafted out of being seen even for a moment on tv. I was Band Booster Pres. for Four years and it is not easy to raise that money in that small community. Especially in these times where jobs are being let go. So shame on you people for doing this to all those kids that worked so hard and did not even get a minute of tv time...Parents that could not afford the trip watched for a glimps of their hometown school and got crap for it. If you invite someone to the games like that and have them raise that type of money at least have the deciency to give them a small amount of credit for the accomplishment.....As O'Reilly would say," this makes you a pinhead.

I am embarrassed as a Big East fan as to how AWFUL the Cincy QB Tony Pike played. He was simply awful! He owes an apology to all his teammates and all Cincy supporters. I know he is not a professional just a kid, and one that gives his heart every game, and I shouldn't be complaining. But I am pissed!
