I mean it isn't like the offense has gotten worse in the prior three games that Weis was calling the offense. Right?Really? How about this -- 27, 21, 3. Or -- 340, 332, 91. That's the scoring output and total yardage in the games. There appears to be a downward trend. Something also repeated in time of possession -- it just declines in each game to go with the 1-2 record with Weis calling the offense.
Of course, with the 6-6 finish and plenty of speculation that there will be an overhaul of the coaching staff coming, there might be some people who would read something into Weis deciding to continue to call the offense instead of offensive coordinator Mike Haywood. Well, that's just silly.
"That's the other thing you read when you do that: All of the sudden you're trying to run someone out or there's a rift between you, but we couldn't be any closer than we are right now," Weis said. So, um, any reason in particular for the decision? Hopefully nothing that could be considered arrogant, dismissive and without any insight to put an end to the speculation.
"That's just the way it is. That's why," he said. "There's no further explanation. That's just the way we're doing it for this game. After this game, we'll worry about next year."Oh.
Weis said at the beginning of the year that Haywood would be calling plays all season and dismissed those who said he would take over before the season was over.
Nothing to see here. Just move along. You people have no reason to try and read anything more into things. It is all perfectly fine and it is all just irresponsible to even ask questions.

Don't mention that the last game they played was against USC, which likely has the best defense in the country. But why mention things that may weaken your argument. After all, your trying to make a point and not honestly and accurately relate facts here, right?

Also don't mention that Notre Dame got its first first down on the last play of the 3rd quarter in the USC game . How weak is that!

USC pays their players, that is a fact. If Notre Dame was to do the same, it would be a level playing field. However, it doesn't matter either way because my Gators would stomp both of those teams. Chomp chomp....bi***es!

I'm pretty sure you answered your own question because you knew I'd be able to find proof that U$C pays boo-koo cheddar to their players. You are most likely angry because your boys shell out mad dough but always lose to an inferior team...and that dashes any hopes of a National Championship. If U$C played in the SEC, they would lose 2-3 games a year. By the way, does Reggie Bush's mother still stay in the house that U$C bought her? I mean the guy that hung around the program that U$C had no idea about, lol!

THE IRISH DO PAY THERE PLAYERS IN A WAY BECAUSE THERE ARE ALL THESE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS GOING AROUND IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY ALL ARE ORDRED TO SEND THERE PLAYERS TO THE IRISH SO TALK ABOUT IRONY WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.

USC has the #1 D in the Nation. Any team would be shut down, as in the past.... even the second half of Oregon St.... who won the first half. Hats off to them, but no other team has experience to hang with the Trojans and Pete Carrol... just look at the out of conference schedule and bowl games.
Greatness should be to SHUT UP!!! and EAT!

Mike Haywood isn't returning next year -- he'll be the head coach of the Miami Redhawks -- that's why Charlie doesn't want him calling plays.
