When you think about Tim Tebow, a few select words come to mind -- strong, tough, muscular, Chuck Norris. One that doesn't normally flow off the tongue, however, is "insecure."Yet that is what the Florida quarterback seems like when discussing his jump to the next phase of football, asking the NFL advisory committee for a projection on just where he might land if he goes in the April draft.
Most everyone that knows a little about the pigskin can see Tebow as a fullback or linebacker in the pros. But he isn't going to be a quarterback in the NFL. It just isn't going to happen. That is no knock on Tebow. With all the praise he gets from the MSM, you'd almost expect his birthday to be in seven days -- and most of that praise is warranted -- but he just isn't cut from the mold that allows one to make it professionally at play-caller.
Wait, isn't lying a sin? Jesus is not going to be very happy with you, Mr. Tebow. Of course you're thinking about it, you requested a projection from the NFL ADVISORY COMMITTEE. That, kind sir, is thinking about it.Tebow, who hopes to win a second national title with the Gators when they take on Oklahoma on Jan. 8 in the FedEx BCS National Championship Game, told reporters Wednesday he's not leaning one way or the other.
"I have no clue. I haven't been thinking about it so far," said Tebow.
Either way, you have to think that Tebow will come back for his senior season at Florida. Win or lose against Oklahoma, Tebow is the top collegiate sports star in our country, and once he declares for the draft he will be just another Heisman winner with a decent job holding clipboards and occasionally making funny Sportscenter commercials.
If he does make it in the NFL as a quarterback? I'd be the first to admit I was wrong. And then I'd send Vince Young some of the nicest flowers I could find.

Dude, someone should fire you for lack of integrity and for making fun, or having fun with the name of JESUS.
"Wait, isn't lying a sin? Jesus is not going to be very happy with you, Mr. Tebow." You don't say this with any meaning at all, other than to rub it into Tebow's face. I can see the smile on your face when you thought of it, wrote it, and then re-read it yourself. I am sure you were SO PROUD of this line. I am sure you got some chuckles (if anyone other than me has read it) but for those of us that know Jesus Christ, its appauling that your website allowed you to say such a thing. Its appauling that you thought it was funny!
I then looked at some of your other "stories" and you aren't a good writer at all. Making fun of people (which is basically all your do) is one thing, but using the LORD's Name in vain is quite another. Using it as a punch line instead of as His Name was intended for us.
ACTS 4:12
All we hear is Tebow can't do this or that. He will be a great pro - the kid just has it. Sort of like Emmitt was too small and wouldn't be a good pro running back.
Tebow will just get better at running a team and I see no problem with him adjusting.
Whoever passes on this kid that had a shot at drafting him will regret it.
Tebow was the most highly recruited QB in the Nation coming out of high school. Sam Bradford was a journeyman. Yet Bradford will probably be drafted higher and have a better NFL career than Tebow. Not to accuse, but Tebow also looks far too buffed for a college QB.
Bob is 100% right. Passing on Tebow because of weird throwing mechanics would be like passing on LeBron James because he had a crappy jumper.. both are phenoms and prodigies. I suspect Tebow is just as controversial in the pros as he is in college.. but someone will get him.And they will realize how great he is.
This coming from a Georgia fan, and I hate to admit anything about them Gators, but Tim Tebow has made a believer out of me. He should be an excellent NFL QB.
thank you for the support on tim tebow going to da pros i wish matthew stafford the best in his nfl career
I think this so called "writer" had better take a look at Tebow's stats. He is more than "just another Heiman Winner". He is one of the best quarterbacks and all round player that has ever been in the college circuit. He did not get this reputation without earning it. If he does go pro, he will be assured of an excellent contract but sure hope the Gators get him for another year as he is one of the best.
Tebow will play pro football. When is not yet determined but my guess is either Jacksonville or New England.
Tebow couldn't possibly be a great NFL quarterback, he's doesn't throw a tight spiral, or have a quick release, or take lots of snaps from under center, or have the build, or any of those other things that made Ryan Leaf so great...from the Ryan Leafs to the Steve Youngs, when we will all learn that projecting college players to the NFL is just guessing. You can't tell what someone is capable of until they try to do it. How do you know Tebow can't have a quick release or throw a tight spiral...he hasn't had to yet. For all the people preaching accuracy...take a look at Alabamas coverage on our first and third touchdowns...he threw the football into a hole the size of a baseball...way to go Tebow.
