Turns out Texas Tech's Graham Harrell isn't the only one who has a messed-up non-throwing hand.Oklahoma has announced that quarterback Sam Bradford has torn ligaments in his left hand and will require surgery. Bradford played the second half of Saturday's win at Oklahoma State with the injury. As a result, he only took one snap from under center, otherwise operating from the shotgun.
Head coach Bob Stoops says Bradford will wear a soft cast for this weekend's Big 12 Championship against Missouri, but should be just fine to play.
Bradford will then have his surgery next week, with the prognosis good for him to be at full strength in advance of the Sooners' bowl game (or the BCS title game, whatever).
If you watched the second half of the Oklahoma State game, you probably couldn't tell he was hurt. Bradford did drop a couple of snaps, but he was his usual insanely accurate self throwing the ball, and OU topped 60 points one more time in an amazing offensive season.
And as Shane Bacon pointed out earlier, a win Saturday likely sends Oklahoma to the title game against the SEC champion.

I find it amusing Texas had to cheer for Oklahoma Sat. night to win. If the Sooners had failed to win, Texas was "out" of any chance to be in the Big 12 Championship Game. As it was, Texas was in the running, but fell short in the BCS computer standings. The same team that gave them a chance, snatched it away from them! Texas was deserving without a doubt, but what they fail to realize, or admit........ a late season loss kills your chances, aka Texas Tech. O.U. has nothing to apologize for, they, like Texas and Texas Tech, have had a great season!

Oklahoma deserves the Big 12 game. Yes, the BCS rules are complex, but all the coaches know what they need to do. Before the BCS, the voters would name a number #1 team going into the season, and as long as that team didn't lose, they remained #1. So in comes the Big 12. The voters still have a say, but the computers keep them honest. A team like Oklahoma is peaking late, kicking butts big time, and are a better team than Texas. Go Sooners.
