The rumor has been floating almost since Ron Prince Snyder was tabbed by the Wildcat Athletic Department to lead the search to find the best candidate to take over the football program. It looks like Snyder decided the guy was in his mirror.
Kansas State has scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. Monday. There, sources say, the school will introduce Snyder as its next head coach, though no introductions will be necessary.Multiple news outlets are reporting the same confirmation. Snyder will reportedly get a 5-year, $9 million contract.

K-State is down and Snyder will have a difficult time resurrecting them. The North (while not very good overall) is better than when he left - Missouri, Kansas (no longer a doormat), and Nebraska appears to be back.
The schedules are already set for the next few years - meaning Snyder can't schedule the customary cupcakes....unless they weasle out of a contract again (ahem, Fresno).
Snyder will resort to pilfering the JUCO ranks again - meaning that could take some time to re-establish the connections.
Lastly, name me one coach that ever returned to coach (NFL or college) that made a big splash??? Joe Gibss? Nope. Bill Parcells? No. John Robinson? eh...maybe.
Snyder will have just as much trouble restoring some success as when he first took over the program.......long road ahead of him.
Those other coaches you spoke about.....none of them resemble Bill Snyder. Coach Snyder will make a few adjustments from his last time at KSU. He will hire a great staff, and players will want to play for him.
Coach Snyder is Kansas State!!!!!!!!!!!!!
