Welcome back to our weekly water cooler of sorts. In this Case of the Mondays we'll attempt a conversation about Vanderbilt and the extent of their legitimacy during their surprising start. Also, we'll wash our hands of last weekend and take a look at what's ahead -- Red River Rivalry, anyone?
Grab a Texas state fair corn dog -- ok, maybe one of those knockoffs in the freezer section of the grocery -- and join us for a live college football chat at 2 PM ET after the jump.

Vanderbilt could very well win this weekend, against Mississippi State and start out 6-0, but the next 4 games will be loses, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. At least they will get a bowl game out of it (if they win at Mississippi State this weekend)

They also have two non-conference games left, which they will probably lose also. Duke (x- Tennessee Boy at the helm) and Wake Forrest. After reviewing that, a bowl game is not in the bag yet after all.

As a life long Vandy fan I can only hope that they can continue all of their success. I know that they still have the powerhouses of the East division left but I still haven't seen any of those with impressive wins yet either. Vandy has shown this year to be able to find a way to win no matter the caliber of their opponent.
