Brian Cook - Did you actually watch the game. I am a Mountaineer fan but ECU is a quality, physical football so why don't you give them some credit instead of trying to tear down Bill and his Mountaineers? Of course, I realize it's only your opinion and since I've never, ever heard of you, I have to come to the conclusion you either new as a sports writer or you can't find a real job. Be nice and give the other team credit and remember, it is but one game. Nobody ever said, especially here in WV that we would "run the table."

Fine, so ECU is a quality team. That does not excuse WVU from getting their butts handed to them on a platter. This wasn't exactly USC they were playing.
Ahh, friend, blaming the coach for Pat White being shut down is not the way to go. If he had succeeded in converting more third downs... maybe you would not see that punt late in the game. Considering East Carolina (Eastern?) manhandled the mountain men on most third downs throughout the game.... going for it on forth and long in hostile territory would have put the Pirates in perfect scoring position....AGAIN.
West Virginia was beat by a better team, just like the Hokies found out last week. Blaming the coach is a copout.
Oh yeah, Coach Stew is 2-1 as WVU's head coach to include a win in the Fiesta Bowl; such a horrible, horrible start. Yes, WVU was beaten and beaten soundly, but that can be attributed as much to young, inexperianced secondary and poor offensive execution as it could be to Coach Stewart. It must be nice to have a job where someone can throw around any kind of inflamitory statements without a scrap of evidence. WVU is still in the leading postion to win the Big East and return to a BCS bowl; let's wait until we're not bowl eligable to say we've been driven into the ground.
Brian Cook is once again hating on WVU. First, your boy Coach Rod or even Don Nehlen would lose a few games on this years schedule. The Mountaineers lost what, 8 players on defense? Most of the offensive line is new. They do not have a dominant fullback who can block and run. WVU may lose 5 games this year, is that Stewart's fault? Strong returning teams in UC, USF and UConn just in the conference. Throw in Auburn as well. Your boy Roddy got lucky today against Miami of Ohio with all the dropped passes by the RedHawks. The Mountaineers' coaching was confused and disoriented. On multiple 3rd and mid-range plays, the cornerbacks were set 10 to 15 yards off their receivers, leaving simple short hooks and curls for first downs. The offense never established anything, partly because of questionable play calls, and partly because of terrible execution. The Fiesta Bowl win was with Rodriguez's team and system, though Stewart should be credited with boosting their morale. Stewart is a nice guy, but that doesn't necessarily translate to wins. We'll see where we go from here.
For those of you that don't get it, Brian is a HUGE Mishitgan fan and does not have the ability to be fair and objective with his articles. You will ALWAYS find him pro Mishitgan & Anti tOSU or anyone that has a link to the opposite side of Mishitgan. That said, his obvious hate for WVU comes from his love of Mishitgan. Let it float on down the the toilet when you flush. He writes online because anything on paper would only be worth flushing.
So Brian, I can't find the articles about how bad Richie Rich while getting Mishitgan to a 1-1 start. With a loss to Utah at home & a 16-6 win over Miami of Ohio at home, you'd thing the same article could apply to your buddy at tUofM. Humm, nothing about that hu?
