Tuberville has no class. What has Auburn done????

Jim Tressel is one of the class acts of all college football period. He would never say that about any team.

TOSU would no way finish that low in the sec nor would Auburn finish that low in the Big Ten. Any team can beat any team on any given day. How many BCS bowls has Auburn even been invited to? TOSU is one to be hated because they are winners. Winners are always hated. That is why Auburn is not hated. Auburn...psst whos' Auburn?

Charlie-Before you start the name calling why not respond to the salient points of the post-sanctions, juco's etc. I can see that when the facts aren't in your favor you become vitriolic. This is unfortunately a genetic trait of the slow thinking southerner. "academic institutions of the to teams"? Learn to proof read.

Buckeyes are the lowest of low, sneaking into the big game and only winning once on the heels of a ref. The suck-eyes couldnt win seven games a season in the SEC.

I guess if they played an SEC team in snow it would help, as long as the snow was 4 ft deep.

Clearly, OSU has been the weaker team in the last two national championship games. They have been outplayed in both contests. There are two points of contention that people haven't brought up. Number 1, the Big Ten needs to play a championship game or end the season later in the year. OSU was clearly rusty from having so much time off in between games. Number 2, the spread style offense of the SEC (which has no chance of working in the NFL) is difficult to defend by a college defense due to lack of speed at every position on the field. Bottom line is that if you look at the NFL, OSU players flourish because they play a similar style. To say that OSU doesn't have talent and would lose to teams like Tennessee in the SEC is quite a stretch. I would be very wary of SEC fans putting their foot in their mouths because OSU is going to be very good this year... You have a senior/junior laden team with serious talent at all the skill positions on OFF and the entire starting DEF returning. IF you remember, Vernon Gholston only started this year because Lawrence Wilson was hurt for the year, and he is back this year. I'm from the South, but I do not share my bretherns lack of respect for OSU. They will be tough.

This is a really rediculous conversation. Ohio State overlooked Florida two years ago and deserved to lose the game. They should have finished 3rd in the Big Ten last year, but they have an amazing coach who led them to the Championship game. LSU was argueably the best team in the country all year, but they never should have been in the NC game in the first place. Nobody should get to play a bowl game at home. If anyone in the country thinks that Auburn could have beat OSU last year, two years ago, or this year, then they need to get their head out of their a*s and watch more college football.

Charlie...i do have a right to insult the quality of education in the South, it's called 1st ammendment, feel free to look it up.

and none of that changes the fact that tuberville is always one season away from getting fired. the SEC is strong, but not that strong, stop acting like it's a step away from the NFL.

as an unbiased observer, this year, there aren't many teams who can match up with OSU, maybe Georgia and USC. so i hope SEC fans have an appetite for crow.

That you would attack the academic institutions of the south because you live in the north shows nothing but your backward thinking. The sanctions of Auburn University were long ago. Tommy Tuberville had nothing to do with them. Yeah, Tuberville is so close to getting fired that he has received a contract extension the past 4 years in a row...you make a lot of sense there. I have always applauded the achievements of OSU, and I was actually pulling for them in the NCG. I don't see why you think I have the genes of slow Southern thinking. Before you attack me you should know that my father has an undergraduate degree from The US Naval Academy and a masters from Penn. My mother also received her degrees from U of Alabama. Both a fine academic institutions....two in the north, one in the south.

whoa whoa whoa...who said anything about me living in the north? last time i checked, Missouri isn't considered 'north' per se. and how would you have known where i lived seeing as i never told you?

and contract extentions mean jack. a coach will get fired no matter what, and if Auburn can't do squat on offense AGAIN next year, you're fooling yourself if you don't think tuberville's seat is going to be a little spicy.

I meant to say both are fine institutions.UA does represent one of the best law schools in the nation. To a family who has graduated 3 members from the UA, I find it very offensive, as well as you insulting Auburn U. I just wonder what school you attend...I know they must be embarrassed to have someone who completely lacks respect.

Charlie-Does Alabama Polytech have an english department? If it does you need to find out where it is and begin classes. What is meant by "UA does represent one of the best law schools in the nation"? When UA gets to the top 20 in anything you can start talking "best". BTW if there is an english deparment at AP have them check your work before posting it because that might make it somewhat understandable

ill put an end to tommy tupperware and any sec illiterate that thinks the sec is the best....reality the sec is the big 12s doormat. here are the true facts that espn the joke of a so called network doesnt want made public. 35 years of following college football and its always been the same bs from the illiterates about how great the sec is so lets get to the facts. when comparing the top 6 sec programs against the big 12s top 6 programs its not even close. 1st ill go with the sec cupcakes. alabama 14-16-2 all time against the big 12. bama is 10-15-2 against the big 12s top 6 (ou,texas,nebraska,colorado,texas am, and missouri). tennessee is 9-8-1 against the big 12 but against the top 6 big 12 teams tennessee is 4-5-1. uga is 14-7 against the big 12 but 4-7 against the big 12s top 6. lsu is 52-40-5 against the big 12 but 39-37-5 against the big 12s top 6 (lsu leads am 26-20-3 for most of that total). lsu is oh by the way the only sec top 6 program with a winning record against the big 12s top 6 combined. auburn is 11-15-1 against the big 12 but 5-12 against the big 12 top 6 and last but not least florida is 5-6-1 against the big 12 but only 1-6-1 against the top 6 big 12 teams. now for the dominance of the big 12s top 6 against the sec top 6. oklahoma 19-9-3 against the sec all time. oklahoma is 5-3-1 against the sec top 6. no sec top 6 program has a win record against ou. in fact of the 8 sec opponents ou has faced only ole piss at 1-0 has a win record against ou. texas is 94-45-4 against the sec (most of that total is against ark) texas is 28-12-3 against the sec top 6 teams. texas is 7-0-1 all time against bama. texas has a winning record against all top 6 sec teams. nebraska is 19-6-1 against the sec all time. nebraska is 15-4-1 against the sec top 6. only bama has a win record against neb of the sec top 6 at 3-2. nebraska is 5-0-1 against lsu all time. colorado is 2-9-1 all time against the sec and the same 2-9-1 against the top sec 6 teams. texas am is 58-75-6 against the sec all time (mostly ark and lsu). texas am is 27-33-3 against the sec top 6. last but not least mizzou is 19-8-1 against the sec all time. mizzou is 5-2 against the sec top 6. only top 6 sec team to have a win record against mizzou is uga at 1-0. while lsu is the only top 6 sec program with a win record vs the big 12 top 6 oklahoma,texas, nebraska, and missouri all have win records vs the sec top 6 combined. with these documented facts with the big 12 top 6 leading the sec top 6 82-63-9 with about 80% of those 154 games at sec venues its clear if a super 12 conference was formed with these 12 programs that alabama, auburn, uga, tenn, and florida would be fighting it out with texas am and colorado for 6th place in such a conference. the sec isnt much. just hype and bs. the only domination i see is the sec getting dominated by the big 12. dont get me started on earned unbeaten untied ap upi bcs titles because again the sec gets smoked badly. these stats are courtesy of rev longbone.....enjoy

i am wondering where tommy tupperware thinks south florida wouldve finished in the sec last year? he might think like tommy bowden does and vote his team over a team with the same identical record the defeated his team at his teams house i.e. clemson-boston college. what we do know is no matter where tommy tupperware thinks south florida wouldve finished in the sec they wouldve finished ahead of lil bama since they went to lil bama and thumped lil bama.....1 last thing to add. say what you want about tommy tupperware but he isnt as stupid as he looks i promise. last year texas am was throwing his name around which he used in contract negotiations at lil bama but he wasnt dumb enough to fall for the bait. tommy tupperware knew at texas am he would get trounced because reality is he isnt near the coach that bob stoops, mack brown, gary pinkel, mark mangino, mike leach are and it wouldve been hard to explain why gene chizik and iowa st were dominating texas am if had taken their job. he realizes in the weak sec he actually has a chance at winning. look at les miles. in the big 12 at ok st he was hammered. goes to corndog u and hes a winner. so for the lil bama fans please round up your sec homers and inform them someone is talking trash and lets see if any sec homers want to do anything about it. reality is the facts are the facts and i will be going to each sec teams site and posting the facts so get ready. sec illiterates will be educated this fall so maybe we wont have to hear the same bs about how great they are. reality is no sec team has the tradition of oklahoma, no sec team has the tradition of texas, and no sec team has the tradition of nebraska. fact.

lester miles 28-21 in the big 12 and 36-6 in the sec........dennis francione 32-29 in the big 12 and 17-8 in the sec.....average coaches in the big 12 are dominant coaches in the cupcake sec once again proving what a joke that conference is.....if miles and francione couldnt win or produce champions in the big 12 do you really think tommy tupperware could? lmfao
