ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale appeared on Mike and Mike in the Morning today and revealed that he's been inducted into the Basketball Hall of FameThe news, which comes on the heels of yesterday's announcement that Vitale is in the less prestigious College Basketball Hall of Fame, will be announced officially today at noon at the Final Four in San Antonio.
"I get so emotional because I can't believe that I'll be there with those people that I used to go to Madison Square Garden and watch," Vitale said.

He is so full of himself and just thjinks he knows it all. I turn off ESPN frentually as he drives me nuts.
He has devoted his career and life to the sport. Congratulations.
The guy is a king sized PHONY! You'd think by now that he would either stop with the "blocked nose" crap---or get his nose fixed. There's a buyer for everything, and most are fools.
Vitale is living proof that passion in what you do goes a long way towards becoming successful. I've never cared for his style, going back to the days when the pros he was coaching laughed behind his back on the sidelines.
He's OK. BUT NOT AWESOME, BABY!
To your good health, Dick.
Good for you Dick. Congratulations to you and your family
What a wonderful ambassador for the game of basletball. His whole life has been promoting the game and helping kids, from high school to collage to the pros. Dick Vitale is a warm wonderful caring man. Congradulations Dick, this is an honor that is well deserved.

Leave it up to "Dickie V" to let everyone know he is in the hall of fame before they announce the inductees later today! This guy is the biggest phony and self promoter ever. Hes not even an analyst hes a character and a bad one at that...he contributes nothing to ESPN and very minimal to college basketball i.e. overhype every DUKE UNC game...
I think that he may know basketball, but as annnouncer he stinks. He gets off on his own tangents and doesn't talk about what is happening in the game. I turn the sound off and enjoy the game much more than when I have to listen to his going on and on about something not connected in the slightest to what is happening.
I turn to another channel whenever Dickie boy is on the air. He is digusting in all ways.
I always turn off the sound when he is on. How many times can someone repeat themselves? BORING
He's got the voice. He makes the game more interesting. Thats the way life works...
I think he is a total big mouth jerk. I hate when he uses the term, diaper dandy.
YOUR AWESOME BABY!!!!!!!!
He's Awesome Baby. He's a Diaper Dandy. Best man in College Basketball since Adolph Rupp.
Leave it to "Dickie V" to let everyone know how he was inducted into the hall of fame...instead of waiting for the announcement to come out and then go on radio...oh no that would be too hard for the biggest self promoter...this guy isn't even an analyst... he contributes nothing to espn other than overhyping DUKE UNC games and even then he ruins those game.... He has become a character to hide the fact that he knows nothing about the game and that he is just a huge fan...then when cameras off hes a high maintenanced moron
They said Dickie V. cried on ESPN. I cry when I see him on ESPN or any other Network. He's a goose!
I would not have voted for him. What has he done that qualifies him for the hall of fame? Maybe he is in the loud and obnoxious wing!
this is a no brainer he deserves first ballot status he has brought more fanfare to the game than most players. i used to get in major trouble as a kid going to bed late to hear dickie say all of his many catch phrases. love him 100 percent
I didn't know being a "BLOWHARD" qualified someone for getting into the basketball hall of fame! I guess ESPN's Steven A. Smith is next?
Vitale is genuine. Thank God there are those rare people who show inexhaustible enthusiasm. Enjoy him, like we did Cossell. We have plenty of guys who hang endless statistics on us and bore us to no end. If you pay attention, you can pick up on the fact that Dick is also a classy man with high moral standards. Tom
