How 'bout them Bulldogs?Sylvester Croom has put together a hell of a season in Starkville. A hell of a season.
Down 14-0 against in-state rival Ole Miss, Mississippi State put together 17 unanswered points, all in the 4th quarter, to win. Adam Carlson hit a career-long 48-yarder with 0:12 remaining to seal the deal.
Mississippi State has now gone from winning 9 games in 3 years to winning 7 -- perhaps 8 if they win their bowl game -- in a single season.
The Bulldogs have a nice set of quality wins this season. They beat Auburn at home, #14 Kentucky in Lexington, and #22 Alabama. Their victory over Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl caps a magical season for Croom, the SEC Coach of the Year, and Mississippi State fans everywhere.

I am an Ole Miss fan. Born and raised in Fulton, Itawamba County, Mississippi.
My sorry brother graduated from State. Kidding about the sorry brother. He is a very good man.
I am glad to see a team from Mississippi do well. Coach Crooms is a jewel. Bama screwed up by not bringing him in.
Congratulations to Dawgs Fans everywhere.
Guess us Rebels will have to wait for another Manning.

As an Auburn fan, my hat is off to State this year. What a great comeback the coach has brought to his team. Shula who? Bama screwed up not taking this coach. He certainly deserves SEC coach of the year award....best of luck to them in a bowl game! War Eagle.

I have been a Bulldog fan since 1948. Unlike my brother, who always backs a winner, I have supported them through thick and thin.
I attended the University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a career in journalism, but I have and always will be a State fan

It is very easy for the latest hotshot coaching prospect to take over a storied program. However, it takes greatness for a man to take over mediocrity and achieve great things. Coach Croom is the SEC Coach of the Year.
