Yeah, yeah. Ohio State going to Happy Valley. The White Out in the stadium with over 100,000 fans screaming for a night game. Turns out that for all the ambiance, energy and excitement of the crowd, it didn't change the fact that Penn State was no where near the level of Ohio State. The Buckeyes controlled the game almost from the beginning to win 37-17.
Ohio State dominated Penn State. The vaunted Nittany Lion Defense could not force one punt by the Buckeyes. Ohio State moved up and down the field the entire game. They did it on the ground with Chris Wells leading with 133 yards. In the air, QB Todd Boeckman made play after play, throwing 3 TDs in the game. The Buckeyes were an absurd 12-16 on 3d down conversions and even converted a 4th down for good measure.
Defensively, Ohio State kept Penn State off balance. The Nittany Lions never found any comfort. QB Anthony Morelli couldn't get the ball downfield. Instead, he was forced into short dumps and passes that the Buckeyes could control. You could see Morelli lose confidence as the game went on. By the time he threw the interception run back 29 yards for another score, he was done. It was a mercy act by Joe Paterno to yank Morelli from the game at that point.

Morelli did not have confidence in his entire career at PSU, and has not been able to get the ball downfield on a regular basis all year. The threat is never there which is ashame when you look at the talent at wide reciever.
PSU on defense has a problem being creative. Talent wise you will not find a better team in the country. When a team runs the ball consistantly on their straight 4-3 they are done.
PSU has a great defense that will always be average because of coaching and a great offense that will continue to be terrible until Morelli is gone.

With stats like these what else do we (OHIO STATE) need to do to gain some media respect? No punts against a well touted PSU defense! 19-of-26 passing with one interception for Boeckman. Long scoring drives to eat the clock.
Chris Wells - 133 yards. Great 3rd down conversions and 453 total yards.
3 more wins until the BCS!
GO BUCKS

I have been a PSU fan for a long time - since birth. OSU put a whoopen on the Nits like I have never seen before. They are better at EVERY position on the field including the coach. So much for NEXT year!!

In light of how the Florida Gators bitch slapped The Ohio State University last year, how much more respect do you think you deserve than to be ranked number 1?

Well AAORN, I could care less about the SEC or the Big 10 for that matter but since you chose to come to the defense of Dave Banker's post, how can the college football nation pay the proper respect to The Ohio State Buckeyes since a number 1 ranking doesn't do it? Perhaps they can scrap the BCS and rename it the Ohio State Bowl Tournament? Not good enough? How about The Woody Hayes Invitational Football Series? You can have a Selection Sunday where Buckeye fans can determine who's worthy of playing you, LMAO. You're ranked number 1 Einstein so where does that equate to disrespect? Can you answer that question and that question only?

Poor bitter OSU fans -sheds tear-
Lets see how often i can abuse the word "vaunted" here, shall we?
Penn States defense is vaunted because uh, they played...?
Noone.
Perhaps i should consider that game against the vaunted Notre Dame squad this year as proof of playing quality talent -shrug-
The big Ten (lowercase is realistic here) is vaunted because they tout teams that clamor for top 25 ranking, yet lose to such vaunted squads as um, North Dakota State & Appalachian State.
And now Lee Corso, the vaunted former coach (of who???) himself states that Todd Boeckman is the most NFL eligible qb prospect after a er, vaunted 9 game career.
Is that enough vaunteds for you?

Well, I do beleive that what we (OHIO STATE FANS) are asking for a little respect because we keep hearing that we are over rated and do not deserve the #1 ranking. When we lose a game you can talk trash, but when the team with the most sacks in the nation could only sack TB 1 time the whole game it shows the dominance of the Buckeys. and their defense gives up only 1 touchdown per game. and they have played teams that scored 30+/game before playing the bucks.
Go OSU
