The College Football Songbook is a weekly feature in which we'll be making as much fun as humanly possible of the most embarrassing moments in college football. Through words, music, and related video we'll leave a lasting memory implanted on the brains of the vanquished that they are not soon to forget.
It was another weekend of upsets. Not nearly as many as last week, but still. And none was more shocking than the 24-23 upset of USC by Stanford. Did Jim Harbaugh get into Pete Carroll's head? One thing is for sure, he got one of the biggest upsets in college football history with his backup quarterback. And for that, we dedicate this weeks College Football Songbook to Pete Carroll and the Trojans.

The consevative play finally caught up with the trojans and it appears to me that Booty's head has gotton to big. Maybe it's time for another quarterback to get a chance and let somebody else call the plays.
If nothing changes, i predict that USC will loose 3 more games this season.

EDDIE, I agree with you totally, if they keep playing this way, they will lose to Oregon, Cal, and possibly nd (oh my God!)
Being at the game, the Farm Animals definitely wanted to win the game MORE than the Trojans. The Men of Troy came out flat, didn't block (especially for the PAT), couldn't tackle (special teams)...the ONLY real bright spot was the defense, giving up only 17 points this game....IF the offense could put up 30 points each game, the Men of Troy WILL win. Anything less and it's a losing bet.
Have you noticed how our K. Ellison is getting beat? Taylor Mays is still Taylor Mays (GREAT!)
BRIAN CUSHING: Get well soon, we need your animal magnetism back on the field. YOU are truely the most verstile and "fur-o-cious" player on the team, no offence Rey.....
KRIS & CHILO: The offensive game plan would definitely been more positive had you both been healthy, so can't wait for your return agains Oregon.
FIGHT ON!

I honestly feel that Coach Carroll has up to this point done his worst job of coaching since his first season at Troy.
And,if Sarkisian is the heir apparent maybe it would have been better if he'd gotten the Raiders job.
Booty's biggest negative was that he got too many balls knocked down at the line of scrimmage, now the opponent is knocking them down and also picking them off.
Sanchez deserves a shot before he has to battle with Mustaine.
Sorry John David, but too much seems to shake that Booty.
FIGHT ON!

Is Pete getting bored? Carroll needs to get back to coaching like he did when he started with the program. All that talent and he can't get that team ready to play the conference door mat. SC had better talent at every position except possibly quarterback.
No big JD Booty fan here. Seems like a nice kid and waited for his turn without complaining. That said, Carroll has gone overboard with the loyalty thing. Time to give Mark Sanchez the ball and let him try to run the offense. Booty has no touch at all. Just fires the ball. He got away with that last year when he had Jarrett and Smith but these inexperienced kids with their hands of stone aren't close to being in that class.
As for the play calling, it is offensive. Forty rushes for 85 yards! You got to be kidding. What happened to the good old days with student body left and right. Use that speed coach.
