What ... wait, huh?
Alabama jumped to an almost ridiculous 23-0 first quarter home lead against Houston earlier this afternoon. I then tuned out to watch Tennessee romp over Georgia and Texas battle with Oklahoma.
So what to my wandering eye should appear but a Houston team in the fourth quarter causing great fear. The Cougars intercepted Alabama with under two minutes left. They then drove deep into Alabama territory before setting up a last desperation throw that fell innocently into the hands of an Alabama defender in his own end zone.
Alabama 30 - Houston 24

Bama does not have a killer instinct or they do not have much depth.
Either way, they did the same thing with Arkansas when they led 21-0.

Yeah, that's what you pay a coach $4 mil. for. HA. What happened to national champs in their first year.

Years of probation equal NO DEPTH!! Saban tried to tell Bamanation, but they were all too busy drinking the Kool Aid to listen. Saban wll need a few recruiting classes to get Bammer "back"....if he stays that long. Until then, THIS is the real penalty for probation, a fairly "bear" cupboard (sorry, couldn't help it). Bama is looking at 3 more losses at least. Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU. I wouldn't look past Ole Miss either. I figured 7-5 for the Tide preseason, and that is looking about right. Bama should be better next year, given Saban's recruiting ability, but a team with 15 Def. backs, and no safeties? Nick needs some time people..

Man, it sure is gonna be good when LSU kicks Bama's butt. Fork tongued Saban is gonna reap what he's sewn. Kudos though Nicky...Houston is a perenial powerhouse, just not in football. Alabamians, if you have any class, you would back Auburn...were probably not going to beat them nearly as bad as the Tide.

Charlie and Big K.
Auburn has come alive and Bama has died looks like. I was there Bama kicked their ass the 1st quarter and then " laid down ". WHy ?? I have not a clue. Les Miles has SABAN's recruits and look what the COON ASSes are doing !!! Les Will suck in 2 years and probably be at Michigan coaching. Saban is recruiting Lousyana again and will pull more recruits than miles. But time will tell
Good Luck

Bama's problems begin with depth or lack of it.I figured the game would be close considering bama's qb play and houston's ability to move the ball. You play with hand you are dealt and Saban is doing just that.Bama will stay with LSU until the depth factor takes over and then it could get ugly. I'm a Bama fan but I also can tell the difference between a much more talented team which LSU is. All you bama basher's keep tooting your horns what goes around comes around. At this time Bama is 4th. in the nation for next years recruiting class. If we happen to land Julio Jones out of Foley we could move on up to #1.I figured a 7-5 season and i know of no one in Bama nation that was talking of a nat. title this year...get real! The heart is there for this Bama team just not enough of them to contend with the LSU'S right now.Notice I said right now. ROLL TIDE!

#1 war eagle fan, if I remember correctly Auburn almost lost to K-State, then lost to Miss State and to top it all off they lose to S. Florida. I would not talk to loud. Your team sucks just as bad if not worse.

Big K- Bama is probably going to lose to LSU. Then again, Appalachian State should have lost to Michigan, Stanford should have lost to USC, and Miss. State should have lost to Auburn.
A blocked punt, a fumble, bad weather, injuries- so many variables in football.
