That's ... just ridiculous. I really don't know what to add. This week's ESPN The Magazine had a feature following the North Texas team asking whether they could upset Oklahoma. This is just a wild guess here, but I think coach Stoops and his players might've seen it.
79 ?
Geesh. How very Spurrier of you, Bob. Actually I'm all for teams scoring early and often, but the pattern fits at Stoops worked under Spurrier for a while at Florida.
This doesn't really say a lot about Oklahoma seeing as it was against North Texas, but freshman quarterback Sam Bradford completed 92% of his passes for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. Fellow freshman back DeMarco Murray scored five touchdowns on just 85 rush yards.
I think we have our winner for biggest blowout of the weekend, no?

You must not have watched the game. It's not Stoops fault that they scored at will. I'm not sure they ran anything more than a screen pass in the second half.

Typical Stoops! His (the team) games shouldn't even count, since he had players making mega bucks sitting around at car dealerships. NCAA was bought out.

Hey #1 ... lol Jealous much? Give it a rest. It was dealt with, over, done, move on. Has no bearing on how exceptionally well the Sooners played tonight! Boomer Sooner all the way!

I quit watching pro sports when money became the biggest issue. However I recently watched the Cal vs Tennesse game and I was very upset. I was actually going for Cal but after watching the game I realized the players had noting to do with the game. If you watch the game without any favortism you would realize how many calls were not called against Cal (the home team). I realized this game had nothing to do with performance and all to do with officails. Watch the game closley in the fourth quarter. The officals clearly did not a call at least 2 holding penalties which gave Cal the win. This is why a home game should not contain two top 25 teams in the first game of the year. I understand the games are pre determind. However I would like to see a rematch not neccesarily at Tennesse but in a nuetral area to see what the REAL outcome of the game would be. Again "I WAS" going for Cal.

Miami's defense is a lot better than North Texas. They'll be lucky to score 20 points let alone 79. It should be a decent game thought with Miami getting the victory.
Long live the "U"

49-0 at half, rest of points were mostly defensive, like interceptions run back for touchdowns. You want Sooners to forfeit second half of "game"?
At least Stoops let them kick a field goal so it wasn't a shutout. How do you say "Kiss My Grits" in Texan? LOL

The deal is you play football 100% for 60 mins, Both OU and even North Texes know this. OU could let them score some touchdown or let them stop them from scoring but then is that really learning anything. Losers will always make fun of winners. Oh by the way I hate Spurrier

Obviously brian grummell did not watch the OU sooners game because his comments shows his ignorantness. I was at that games and every young man on the OU roster even walk-ons played in the north texas game. Even the third strings quarteerback played. You can not tell these men to go out on the field not try their best. sounds like mr grummell has a lot of sour grapes to me. we also know that north texas is not miami. will be a good game between two good programs.

Oklahoma didn't learn a thing when USC showed class in the Rose Bowl a couple years ago when the Trojans eased up on the slaughter. Running up the score just for the rankings is b.s. Hopefully, next week, they get humbled.....and someday, hopefully North Texas will get their chance to rub the sooners'nose in a lob-sided score.

Exactly! OU took out all the starters after half and just kept intercepting the ball and running it in! How can you stop that? Miami is not even ranked!
Everyone always acts like Miami is the best team every year! You never know ,things happen but i dont see Miami beating this OU team! This team is the best team OU has had in awhile!

ou couldve scored 100 by the 3rd had they intended to run the score up. but as usual we have the haters who didnt watch the game stating ou ran it up lol. yea ou ran it up thats why stoops (as reported by the ap)told his players to "tackle" themselves if they are breaking a long run or to run out of bounds and not to score once the game was out of hand. stoops didnt run it up nor has he ever ran it up intentionally. 2003 texas am game ou was running the ball the last 32 plays of the game and was taking a knee at the am 3 on 3rd down with over 7 minutes left in that game but the haters and the uninformed claim ou ran it up. brian let the hatred go and report the facts instead of your biased opinions ok. it will make this site alot better.
