Desmond Howard is not just another Heisman winner. He may be the most iconic Heisman guy of them all, what with Keith Jackson going "
hellloooooo Heisman" as he busted the statue's pose out after his game-changing punt return touchdown against Ohio State. That's why EA put him on the cover and not, say, Rashaan Salaam when they wanted to pump up their new "Race for the Heisman" mode a couple years ago. He's also been on TV a lot recently.
But don't tell that to Sports Illustrated.
The Realests bring us an unforgivable error:

Tim Brown? TIM BROWN? From Notre Dame? For this, there can be no forgiveness.

Um, dude, hate to tell you, but that's the caption for the picture ABOVE it, which, judging by the gold pants and the towel that he always used to wear, actually IS Tim Brown. None of those other names match up with anyone in the picture with Howard either (I'm pretty sure Ty Detmer or whoever the heck that is didn't graduate from Texas A&M in 1957; the guy on the other side of Howard doesn't have a name, apparently).

Ummm, Nate? See that little line that links Desmond Howard with the picture and caption noting that it's Tim Brown? Yeah...good pickup.
Also, I have the magazine, and there was no picture anywhere in the spread of Howard during his playing days. So umm, unsurprisingly...Brian's right.

The current issue also has an editor's apology for misidentifying Desmond Howard and two others in the line-up. Sharp interns over there at SI.
