It never ceases to amaze me at the number of Mountaineer fans that still refer back to the Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia. And you have to understand that I am a huge West Virginia fan. So, yeah, I get a little excited when I see footage from that game. The almost constant building up of that game should have stopped a long time ago. But still it goes on. Case in point, this little piece of youtube that's a half baked clip of karaoke of I like it, I love it by Tim McGraw to go along with highlights from the game. And really, show of hands here, didn't everyone get enough of that song after the first year they used it on MNF?
Ugh!!!! Please, for the love of all that is holy, let's let that game die a quiet death and move on to bigger and better things in the future. And maybe as a bonus, someone could take the microphone away before more ear drums are permanently damaged.
Let the West Virginia fans enjoy the game if they so desire. Didn't the AOL Sports writers have anything else they could do beside scanning youtube.com to find this? And the writers suggest West Virginia fans move on??? Please.
I agree, let the West Virginia fans relish in those special victories. When you are a fan of a particular team, you will always have games that you cherish. I am a USC fan and can remember games I saw as a child, such as "The Comeback" -- the 1974 SC-Notre Dame game, where Anthony Davis returned the second half kickoff 102 yards to open a 35 point third quarter. This is after trailing 24-0 in the first half. Davis added two more TDs in the quarter and QB Pat Haden contributed two touchdown throws for a USC victory and final score of 55-24.

I am a West Virginia Fan, Tam. Have been for about 30 years now. I think we need to expect to win big games if we are going to be a major program.
