Don't Take Sam Keller's Parking Spot

All of us have had this happen to them: you are waiting patiently for a spot, and someone (almost always female) cuts in front of you at the last second. Most of us react angrily as well.

There should be a law against women doing this, and unless the plastic cup broke this woman's bones, she should get a life and quit fishing for attention. If Joe Blow had thrown a plastic cup at her, she wouldn't have filed a complaint.

Dear Tony - I would like to see Joe Blow jump out of his car, cursing angrily into your face as he heaves a Starbucks into your well earned Mercedes E Class Sedan. All the while you sit calmly listening to your iPod while it plays "All we are saying, is give peace a chance" as you sit parked in your new parking spot.

I don't know what the hell you are talking about, but okay. Anyone who is a big enough a-hole to cut in front of someone else for a spot is just asking for treatment like this. I hope Keller went back and pissed on her car after she left.

I also need to edit my first post: he threw the cup at her car, not her. I also haven't seen any reports that he was "in her face."

Sam Keller word of advice if a person takes your parking spot instead of reading her the Iris Avila riot act remember that one day the offending party gets their payback. Walk away find another parking spot and run your errands and the world will go on.

Unless his name is on a sign over the parking spot stating that it's his, he needs to grow up and get over it. Crap like that happens every day, don't think you're so big that its personal!

Alright! Seriously. We have all been in this situation and none of us like it. However, a bigger person will just drive away and find another parking spot. Sure I might have honked and gave her the "bird," but I would not have confronted her. There are limits and when we start pushing these limits, we start to have even bigger problems. What happened to consideration and respect? Let the witch take the spot, sooner or later she will get what she deserves...a car door in the side of her car! As for Keller he is in the spot light at this moment, it is best for him to lay low. This is not the type of publicity that he or UNL wants.

None of us, of course, really knows exactly what happened here, but let's assume the worst--that some dirtbag "stole" his parking space. If so, I must heartily agree with DTV, except that I would doubt that this behavior is in any way "oblivious." It's punk behavior, and it's rampant today. Why? Because the punks know they can get away with it. Why? Because most nitwits today are too "proper" or too afraid to challenge them. And so it just gets worse. Just like with road-rage. The person with a conscience and/or brain who reacts by getting in the punk's face is the one castigated (and sent for therapy?). And the punk becomes emboldened. And no, I don't advocate violence; I advocate golden-rule civility, and whatever aberrent-behavior modification it takes to achieve that.
So remember, all you pantywaists, when some little dirtbag pulls a fast one on you, just ignore it, and continue humming "Give Peace a Chance." Go hide or go get a double latte or some quiche. But then don't complain when it happens again. And again. And again.

How bout she gets a ticket for reckless driving, being an attention whore, and to joe, this has nothing to do with iraq, so leave that out of it im tired of people taking everything back to that, they are completely unrelated, quit trying to be political,this isn't, and the vets will be the first to tell you this

Who is to say that HE wasn't trying to take her spot...I think it is funny that the media has him portrayed as a victim and yet he was the one who got out of his car and approached a lady as if she were a man...we have all seen the shows where people get out of their cars over stupid things and bad things happen...the incident probably shouldn't have escalated this far but then again, he has a "NAME" to live up to..and as far as the whole cup throwing portion of his over-reacting moment, what kind of "MAN" gets out of his car and approaches a woman anyways??He needs to grow up and learn just what it means to have manners and respect women...

Here's the facts (they just came out, as there were witnesses):

1) He asked someone if they were backing out and they said yes so he waited. At the last second a woman sped into the spot.

2) He got out and, WITHOUT CUSSING AT HER, asked what she was doing. She wouldn't respond or move her vehicle, so he became angry and threw a McDonald's paper cup (it was a small) at her front bumper.

3) He left in a huff to find another spot.

4) She recognized him and filed a complaint. Then the news media picked it up, starting one of the stupidest stories of all time.

5) People like Cynthia post lectures on manners towards women, even thought the woman was clearly in the wrong.

6) Just to clear things up, Keller made a public apology after practice today.

Another witness reported he had passed the spot an then saw a car was moving out. She was behind the spot and went in it. After the incident and before he sped off, she was able to get his plate number and that is how he was contacted . Not by being the QB husker GOD as he probably doesn't have that on his car (YET)His violent temper needs to put into check before he kills someone. Ican beleive the drug test comment. It would explain alot!!
