I suppose if I was asked to write a game story on a meaningless exhibition like the Senior Bowl, I might be desperately scrounging for any sort of angle. But I'd like to think that I wouldn't settle on this one...
This time, Troy Smith was smiling after the game.... especially when Smith "outplaying" Leak consisted of going 5-15 for 52 yards and not fumbling on his seven. Where are you going after this stirring Senior Bowl victory, Troy? Disney World! I bet those suckers in Florida wish they hadn't awoken his wrath by beating the pants off Ohio State in the Not Fiesta Bowl. Truly, this victory will be remembered for all time. Or at least until the NFL Draft.
The Ohio State star outplayed Florida's Chris Leak in a rematch of quarterbacks from the national championship game, leading the North to three scores and a 27-0 win over the South in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.
Wait, what were we talking about?

At least now we know who the better sport is....After Florida beat Ohio State in the National Championship game, Troy Smith answered all the questions reporters asked.....After the Senior Bowl, Chris Leak wouldn't even talk to the reporters. Way to go Chris....You really helped yourself....Were you embarrassed....But you still have to "Man up"

First, no serious Florida fan ever questioned Troy Smith's character...so your agressive defensiveness is pretty lame.
Second, everyone who has ever watched a UF game knows that Chris Leak is an extremely camera-shy QB. Even after the championship game (need I repeat the score?) his responses were terse and seemingly dispassionate. I've met him in person, and the man is a brick wall. Not rude in the least, but he's not about to be a media monkey either...
Hey, kudos for his performance in the Senior Bowl...but I'll take the national championship any day.
Go Gators, and all hail Leak!

How is 5-15 better than 5-9? I know I only went to THE University of Florida, but seems to me that completeing more than half of your passes is more efficent than completing a bit more than a third.
And it might be when it counts for Smith, but it wasn't for OSU. When it counted for OSU was on January 8th.
