Ted Ginn Jr.Things are already kind of bad in Buckeye Nation, but news today just adds to the misery. As you can see from the picture here, Ted Ginn Jr. was injured by his own fellow Ohio State wide receiver Roy Hall celebratorily tackling him in the endzone after his 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Ginn reportedly was ready to go back in after this, but I'm guessing the coaching staff was thinking about his future when they made him sit out the rest of the game.

Nobody is really at fault here, since players always tackle each other after touchdowns and celebrate, but this kind of injury is definitely harder to swallow than one incurred while actually, you know, playing football.

The diagnosis is a sprained left foot. Not that it really matters to Buckeye fans if Ginn will be healthy to start the 2007 season since he will almost certainly be leaving for the NFL this spring. Although, actually, if the injury is bad enough I suppose Ginn could possibly decide to stick with the Buckeyes to prove that he's healthy, but I imagine that's unlikely.
