A Trojan Salutes Irish Excellence

Upon further review of all the game film available from this year's Notre Dame-USC matchup at the Coliseum (via EDSBS), I'd like to retroactively submit an overlooked candidate for Notre Dame Player of the Game honors:



Sure, Brady Quinn played well in spite of his receivers struggling to hold on to the ball. But this kind of drinking display, and the subsequent video editing, setting the entire thing to the theme from Chariots of Fire, is the kind of individual brilliance by today's student athletes that inspires the youth of tomorrow.

Putting team partisanship aside for a moment -- anonymous Irish fan, I salute you.
