Auburn's Dunlap Named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week

For the seventh time this season an Auburn player has been named SEC Player of the Week. Offensive tackle King Dunlap was named the SEC's Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday. The Brentwood, Tennessee native graded out at 99 percent in Auburn's 38-13 win over Tulane.

Dunlap collected four pancake blocks, four cockroach blocks and four rodeo blocks against the Green Wave. The junior helped the offensive line pave the way for 220 yards of rushing and two touchdowns by Tiger running backs.

Dunlap's performance couldn't have come at a better time. The Tigers offensive line has come under a lot of criticism this season for not opening enough holes for running back Kenny Irons and for not protecting quarterback Brandon Cox. On Saturday, the offensive line didn't give up a sack.

Dunlap follows Kenny Irons (offense - Sept. 4), Ben Grubbs (offensive lineman - Sept. 11), Kody Bliss (special teams - Sept. 18), Matt Clark (special teams - Sept. 25), Tim Duckworth (offensive lineman - Oct. 2) and Quentin Groves (defense - Oct. 16) as player's of the week.

Auburn travels to Oxford, Mississippi this Saturday to take on Ole Miss. Kickoff is set for 11:30 CT and will be televised by Lincoln Financial Sports. The game can be heard on the radio through the Auburn Network and Sirius Satellite Radio.
