It looks like Arizona will be putting an end to the UCLA Bruins' aspirations in 2006 just as it did in 2005. With this cheap hit, the Wildcats knocked UCLA starting quarterback Ben Olson out for four-to-six weeks. As can be expected, Bruins fans are not amused.
At a minimum, that means Olson will miss the Bruins' games against Oregon, Notre Dame, Wazzu and Cal. In the worst-case scenario, the Bruins should have their quarterback return for the bye week just before they meet cross-town rival USC.

Arizona wildcats are a sorry team with nothing to look
forward to but another losing season. Bad coaching and
bad players leads to bad team, there a joke to the
pac-10. nothing but a bunch of drug-dealin surf-nazis
who don't belong in college football anyway.

Incredibly late hit. Disgusting play. Mike Stoops owes UCLA an apology for his players' behavior.

While it is true that Arizona should not be proud of its players behavior (I was at the game, and they made a number of late/dirty hits), the conclusion is way off. UCLA's back up was excellent, and the prospects for the 4-1 Bruins are bright.

What you didn't see in that clip was that the Arizona player was already on the way down, rolling over the top of a UCLA Player. It was not intentional ... even the press says so ... "Olson sprained his knee in the first quarter of Saturday's 27-7 victory over Arizona at the Rose Bowl when his left leg was rolled on after a pass." ... Too bad the Bruins fans have to badmouth Arizona for something like this that was both unintentional and unavoidable.
